Polymerase Chain Reaction Methodology

This integrated laboratory and lecture course is designed to provide a solid understanding of the parameters which influence PCR. Once the basics have been learned, PCR is then used to mutagenize one of the PCR products. The PCR product is cloned and analyzed using popular blue/white selection methods, and validated by PCR performed on individual clones. Lab work includes a variety of PCR reactions and ancillary cloning techniques. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) available.
